Do Our Bodies Really Prefer To Burn Carbohydrates?

Do Our Bodies Really Prefer To Burn Carbohydrates?

Experts have been telling us for years that the body prefers to burn carbohydrates and that is part of the reason why it is so hard to release and burn that stubborn fat locked away in the fat cells in our tummies, thighs, and hips.

They have sold us on this idea of fat cells acting like a static long term savings account.

The premise of nearly every diet and weight loss program is to FORCE the body to use this stored fat by creating a calorie deprived state ( ie. counting calories, starving yourself, being hungry all the time).

I revealed in the last email that fat is actually moving in and out of your fat cells all the time and that on any given day a majority of our energy is produced by burning fat.

Are the experts deliberately misleading us? This doesn't jive with what we have been led to believe.

That fact is, and this is well documented in physiology literature, carbohydrates are NOT your bodies preferred fuel. In fact the reason why our body will burn through the carbohydrates in a meal first is because it must keep blood sugar balanced.

Carbohydrate rich meals, which most people eat, floods your blood with sugar. We have to lower our blood sugar or risk damage to a number of different tissues, including our nerves.

So basically most weight loss programs are fatally flawed. It is no wonder weight loss is so hard for people. Unless we understand WHY and HOW fat moves in and out of our cells how can we possibly maintain long term weight loss?

It is nearly impossible.

It is like trying to put together one of those elaborate Lego kits without the instructions.

Good luck!

If we have a firm grasp of why our body stores fat we can use that information and work WITH the body to burn the stubborn fat off your stomach, hips, and thighs.

We have come a long way already. You already understand more than many so called diet experts and gurus out there. We are about to flip on the “switch” where you say … “duh, this just makes sense.”

We have established that:

1. Our fat cells are not like a long term savings account, and that fat is actually moving in and out of our cells constantly.

2. Carbohydrates are not our bodies PREFERRED fuel. We just burn through the carbs in a heavy carb meal first to keep our blood sugar from getting dangerously high.

Stay tuned. Tomorrow we will get straight into explaining why our body stores fat and how we can use that information can help you achieve your weight loss goals.

Until next time,

P.S. When I first discovered how this all works I was blown away. Even as a doctor I went years not “getting it”. Weight loss became simple to me once I finally understood how it works. I hope you get that same ah ha moment that I did.
